Created for Das Goldene Haus, a congress organised by SHARE around social consumption, this work took the conditions of its own production as part of its dramaturgy.

Six dancers and I had one day to create a performance from scratch, which was presented that same evening as part of the event’s Art Day. The compressed process deliberately echoed the mechanisms of accelerated production: material was generated, assembled, refined and immediately put into circulation for an audience. Rather than treating consumption simply as a subject to illustrate, the work questioned what it means to produce a cultural object within a system built on speed, novelty and constant consumption.

The dancers, costumes, sound, stage and choreography became elements of a temporary product — created under pressure, presented as spectacle, and consumed through the act of watching. The logic of show business itself became part of the subject: the body as labour, performance as product, and the audience as consumer.

The work was presented at Holzmarktstraße 66, Berlin, on 16 October 2021.
